thing to remember about immigration
Private clinics an important part of immigration, immigration requires preparation.
Stressless immigration, no political agenda, thats no fun.
Two tier health care as an example.
In Canada 1 yrs wait lists for tests/surgeries are not uncommon?. Have we increased our health budgets to accommodate more users. When I say increased our health budgets I don’t mean more money. Money can not be used as a measure. I mean lowered wait times for those directly affected,,,,better outcomes, that is the only measure that has value.
How many different health services do 1,000.000 immigrants use per year. Can we provide those services.
In Canada 1 yrs wait lists for tests/surgeries are not uncommon ?.
Are those waiting times detrimental to an individuals health, thats for you to decide. A knee replacement delayed by a year, does that lead to hip replacements. Does a delayed eye surgery lead to blindness. 24 hrs wait in the ER, no family doctor
Have we considered the stress on the hospital staff, have we hired more staff to accommodate those extra bodies.
The poor will wait they don’t have a choice. The rich won’t wait, they can pay, pay equals choice. Two tier health care. Private clinics are here now, private clinics are an important part of immigration without private clinics the rich would have to wait, that wont do will it. Its a choice, do you support two tier health care.
Do keep one thing in mind when considering that concept.
The rich actually benefit form two tier healthcare that is true, what isn’t true is they pay. The rich actually don’t pay because they have the resources and understanding of the system. While money may exchange hands it will be run through various financial tools so as to make it tax deductible. I guess that means the poor get to wait, and get to pay for healthcare anyway. You see one person’s tax deduction is another persons tax expense.
Real estate stress, more people less space higher rents, how does that affect our culture.
Do we live to well, should we lower our expectations. I think not I think we should expect more.
immigration requires preparation.
If we don’t prepare for immigration prior to immigration we will stratify society economically, thats called caste. Politically, thats called manipulation. Culturally, I am not sure what thats called.
Do we need immigration do we need a million people a year,,,,, oddly, yes we do. Lets prepare, lets manage for prosperity we have lots to go around. Lets assure immigration is the boon it can be and not the bust.
Why this post today, I am seeing on TV the border issue in the states. I think there may be some prefab there,,,but anyway. My understanding is there is legislation which allows for a claimant which is refused in one country(USA) to request status in a different country(canada). I am not sure if that is in place yet.
immigration requires preparation.

yes a good point. Immigration as a humanitarian crisis, the new prime time tagline. What we should work on is making a person home country a place in which they wish to stay and develop. Unfortunately making countries prosper isn't as profitable as making them poor.
Thank you for your comment Kalle: you are absolutely correct it is all malice.
