Gaps in national-level preparedness. National governments should improve preparedness by developing national-level pandemic response plans built upon a coherent system of “triggers” that prompt anticipatory action, despite uncertainty and near-term costs—in other words, on a “no-regrets” basis.

Notice the two words / phrases:
‘Triggers
‘no regrets
these are going to become common additions to the new lexicon particularly ‘no regrets.
‘No regrets’ will be the new hammer phase, of the next sales script.
As was ‘Warp Speed so is ‘No Regrets
At first I thought they were going to go for the modified ”take away” pressure tactic.
I had hoped(wanted to believe) the new plan the ‘novel plan, would be to let the pox fizzle out. Allowing the pox to fizzle out without heavy handed action was designed to defuse the mounting eveidence against them(the power).
roughly speaking; we have history with the pox virus, therefore we knew what level of action required to contain the virus, so we took minimal action. You see we aren’t evil overlords after all.
we had no history with covid (novel?) we had to take very aggressive action to control and contain. We may have over reacted but we didn’t know. We only have your best interests at heart.
I can see now I was wrong about that. They have successfully reset our expectations of government/Corporate overreach. We no longer expect to have control over our own person therefore we accept edicts from the Corporate health guardians
I capitalize Corporate puposefully this is about guarding the health of the Corporate entity. Consider Corporate health is measured in current profitability, future profitablity and long term profitability.
Human health is measured in joy of life, love of family, success of our loved ones, connection, laughter, overwhelming desire to protect, health of the soul. Any doubt which one is the more valuable.
